I remember seeing a couple of British India’s first ever gigs (I wanna say at Revolver and the long-defunct Duke of Windsor??) when they were a bunch of hyped kids. They kicked ass then, and they kick ass now. Check out my review of their new album Forgetting the Future for Rolling Stone right here.
Things I have a lot of time for: arepas, Batman, the Seattle Supersonics, the Six Point brewery and Tired Lion. Read my review of the hellllll impressive debut album Dumb Days right here over at Rolling Stone.
Bad/Dreems might be the best Australian band since Eddy Current Suppression Ring. Well, them or Royal Headache. Or Smith Street Band. Whatever.
ANYWAY. Their new album Gutful is nigh-on perfect… (as I say) it “rumbles with the malevolence of Rundle Mall at 2am, spitting and kicking at a ruling class and confused culture fixated on self-interest and enrichment rather than insight and empathy.”

And make sure you buy it twenty minutes ago, and tell me just how great “Nice Guy” is.
