One of the single greatest moments in my life happened while The Bronx played, and I’m pretty sure 3 of my top 5 favourite moshpits have been at Bronx shows. Also, their new album is, as I say, ‘titanic’. Not in that it sinks, but that’s it’s huge and awe inspiring and also features Billy Zane*. Read my review of The Bronx’s new album V for Rolling Stone over here. You really should, it’s very good.
*V does not contain any Billy Zane. That I know of… and may be an oversight from both the band and Billy Zane’s management.
I remember seeing a couple of British India’s first ever gigs (I wanna say at Revolver and the long-defunct Duke of Windsor??) when they were a bunch of hyped kids. They kicked ass then, and they kick ass now. Check out my review of their new album Forgetting the Future for Rolling Stone right here.
The new Foo Fighters album Concrete and Gold is a mess – so I wrote about it for Rolling Stone. Read why right here.
Dave Grohl is still a great guy, though.
Things I have a lot of time for: arepas, Batman, the Seattle Supersonics, the Six Point brewery and Tired Lion. Read my review of the hellllll impressive debut album Dumb Days right here over at Rolling Stone.
I wrote about the 10 most fun Brooklyn Nets home games this coming season over at The Brooklyn Game… really, though, it was a complicated exercise to make jokes about Chris Paul, Gordon Hayward’s hair and why Nick Young won’t lend D’Angelo Russell his phone. Have a read right here at The Brooklyn Game.
